Our extraordinary Levante UD<\/a> player, Unai Elgezabal Udondo<\/a> (25\/04\/1993), achieved promotion to the First Division yesterday afternoon by beating Burgos CF<\/a> 2-3.<\/p>\n

In a thrilling match, everything was decided in the final moments. With five minutes left in the game, the granota team was down 2-1. <\/p>\n

In the 85th minute they managed to tie the game and, in the 96th minute, they scored the goal that gave the victory and certified a spectacular promotion.<\/p>\n

Carlos \u00c1lvarez picked up the ball outside the area, got rid of his marker and scored from just outside the box.<\/p>\n

Levante UD’s tremendous merit, which with this spectacular victory seals their promotion to the First Division with one game left in the league championship.<\/p>\n

Our sensational central defender, Unai Elgezabal, completed another great game and, in what was his home for four years, achieved a brilliant promotion.<\/p>\n

Unai has been a vital player for Levante UD all season: 40 games, all 40 as a starter, adding more than 3,600 minutes in his legs and demonstrating what a sensational player he is.<\/p>\n

The undisputed leader of the defense, this is a player with a great stride that thwarts many actions of the opposing team thanks to his power in running.<\/p>\n

Always intelligent and well positioned, his hierarchy on the field has been fundamental in achieving promotion.<\/p>\n

Dominant as anyone in the air, all aerial disputes are won by the Basque defender.<\/p>\n

Used to playing as a midfielder at many stages of his career, Unai also has a good ball delivery and a very good long movement.<\/p>\n

At the age of 32, he achieved promotion to the First Division at the best moment of his career, after playing 230 games in the Second Division and becoming, on his own merit and indisputably, one of the best central defenders of the entire championship.<\/p>\n
