The Mesas Sport family, we are shocked by the news of the death of our former player Abdelaziz Barrada. Abdel joined Mesas Sport in the 2011/12 season when he played for Getafe B.
Thanks to our also former player Medhi Lacen, we met Abdel and from that moment we joined our paths. Affectionate, close, smiling and with an extraordinary kindness and humility, he captivated us from the first moment.
We lived together his debut in the First Division and many other achievements that he would achieve later. An elegant footballer, with an extraordinary technical quality, he was a player with a great vision of the game, with a great arrival to the opposing area and with a huge class. We were lucky enough to guide and advise him in his beginnings where he went from Getafe’s reserve team to the first team, having an outstanding performance afterwards.
His good work took him to Arab soccer after an important transfer to Getafe CF and then his career continued in Olympique Marseille, Al Nasr Dubai, Antalyaspor, Gimnástic de Tarragona and finally Al Shahaniya.

Far from wanting to praise his excellent career as a professional footballer, which is unquestionable, from Mesas Sport we want to value and pay tribute to an excellent person who made us very happy and who will surely rest in peace.
