From Leganes B to the Coliseum: Sancris makes its debut in the elite
Yesterday was a very special day for the whole Mesas Sport family. Our soccer player Alejandro San Cristóbal Sánchez (18/01/1997), known as Álex Sancris, made his debut in the First Division with Getafe CF in the match against FC Barcelona.
At 28 years of age, Sancris achieved the dream of any footballer: to make his debut in the top flight of Spanish soccer.
His beginnings were not easy. When we started working together, the winger from Madrid was playing in the CD Leganés reserve team. With talent, hard work and determination, Sancris has grown to consolidate his position in every club where he has played.
After his time with Leganés B, he signed for Linares Deportivo in Primera Federación, where he had a great season with 4 goals and 11 assists. His performance caught the attention of Burgos CF, who went ahead of other clubs and signed him for two seasons.
In his first season at Burgos, Sancris scored 4 goals and 6 assists, quickly earning the affection of the fans for his talent and dedication. The second season was even more outstanding: 8 goals and 12 assists, numbers that placed him among the best wingers in the category.
That performance opened the door to Getafe CF, which gave him the opportunity to fulfill his dream of making his debut in the First Division.
Sancris is a complete winger, capable of playing on both flanks, with a command of both legs, great speed and power in the race. He brings dribbling, associative quality, arrival to the area and goal. In addition, his excellent ball striking makes him a specialist at set pieces, either assisting with precision or shooting direct free kicks.
