David Jiménez, one more step towards the elite of professional football
Yesterday was no ordinary day for David Jiménez Corredor (03/14/2004). The right back took a huge step in his career by debuting as a starter in the League with the first team of Real Madrid, also doing so with a 0-2 victory against Valencia CF, a milestone that confirms his constant growth and his consolidation in the elite of professional football.
Formed in the Real Madrid youth academy, David has been building his path with patience, daily work and a mentality always oriented to improve. Nothing has been rushed in his evolution, and each stage has served to prepare for moments like the one experienced yesterday.
A right back of great quality, he stands out for his good ball control, his ability to join the attack and, especially, for his great shot, one of his main virtues. To this he adds tactical criteria, intensity and personality to compete in scenarios of maximum demand.
His starting position in the League is not only a specific reward, but the reflection of a well-worked process and a confidence gained from day to day, first in the youth academy and then in professional football.
His current coach Álvaro Arbeloa knows him well since he was under his orders at Real Madrid Castilla this season and knows David’s enormous potential. Such is his confidence in him, that yesterday in a always complicated scenario such as the Mestalla Stadium, he was a starter and returned this confidence by playing a great game.
