David Jiménez scores a great free-kick goal and is key for Real Madrid Castilla
Our outstanding player, David Jiménez Corredor (14/03/2004) scored an extraordinary direct free kick goal this past weekend against AD Alcorcón.
In the 55th minute of the match, Real Madrid Castilla‘s sensational right back took the responsibility of taking the direct free kick in front of the area. His team was losing 1-0 at the Estadio Municipal de Santo Domingo and the referee decreed a dangerous foul in the area in favor of the visitors.
It was a foul more suited to a left-footed player but David did not hesitate to take the responsibility. He took a run and with his excellent right foot put an impeccable shot over the barrier against which the local goalkeeper could do nothing. A goal with capital letters that meant the tie on the scoreboard.
The young winger from Madrid is having an excellent season. He has been a starter in all nine matches played by his team. He is a very solid fullback who can adapt perfectly to the position of fullback and winger. With an enormous route, he is always very participative in the attacking play and thanks to his sensational right foot, he is a constant threat for the opposing team thanks to his excellent ball striking.
Last season he was already a key player in Real Madrid C’s promotion to Segunda Federación and this season he is confirming himself as Real Madrid Castilla’s starting fullback/wing-back in the Primera Federación.
At only 20 years of age, he has a huge margin for improvement ahead of him and thanks to his humility and his enormous will to work, we are looking at a defender with a bright future ahead of him.
As a reward for his excellent game and goal, David has been included in the ideal eleven of the ninth day of the First Federation.
