Our sensational soccer player, Jesús Jiménez Núñez (Leganés, 05/11/1993), has become a new player for the Kerala Blasters FC of India. Coming from OFI Crete, where he has played for the last 6 months and where he arrived from Dallas, Jesus lands in the Indian League to become one of the offensive pillars of the team. As a second striker, he stands out for his great physical presence and speed. Jesus is a player with a great balance in the attacking zone, capable of also playing as a winger with a changed leg, thanks to his refined technique and dribbling skills. With a superb precision in the ball striking, Jesus represents a player that guarantees good numbers in terms of goals and assists. We are sure that he will give a good account of himself in his new team. A brief overview of his successful career takes us to his beginnings in the youth categories of CD Leganés, passing through Talavera, where he began to stand out achieving that year’s promotion to Second Division B, scoring 25 goals. It was in this same category where he became one of the top scorers of the year by scoring 13 goals, which served as a passport to his signing in Poland by Górnik Zabrze. At this club, Jesús Jiménez made history thanks to his magnificent work during more than 100 games, in which he scored 50 goals, which catapulted him as one of the stars of the Ekstraklasa. Jesús Jiménez had already become an excellent player, and if we review some of his characteristics, it is important to highlight that he is a very dynamic and complete striker in all aspects, with a lot of quality in his feet and capable of unbalancing rival defenses with his overflow. Jesús is capable of scoring goals of all kinds, as he dominates all the registers. He is powerful in the air thanks to his leaping power, he is a very powerful player in the run to play in space and enjoys serving assists to his teammates, as he has great ability to fall to the wing and offer very precise services from there. All this, Jesus is able to show in every game, which made Toronto FC sign him. There he shared a dressing room with players like Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Bernardeschi or Criscito. In his first season in Toronto, he was the top scorer, scoring 11 goals in 38 games. It was precisely in this team where he was proclaimed winner of the Canadian Championship. In the following season, Jesus was transferred to Dallas, where he suffered an ankle injury that kept him out of action for weeks, playing a smaller number of games that season. From there, he made the jump again to Europe, this time to OFI Crete in Greece, where he has played for the last 6 months and from where he joins the Indian League this season with his signing with Kerala Blasters FC.
