Our excellent player, Pelayo Suárez López (09/07/1998), achieved an outstanding victory with his new team, the Pontevedra CF. Pontevedra CFagainst Levante UD by 4-1 in the knockout match of the Copa del Rey. The match was dominated from start to finish by the Galician team, which, thanks to its good performance throughout the match, achieved a magnificent result against one of the best teams in the Second Division, such as Levante UD. Our central defender, Pelayo Suárez, was a starter and commanded with great success the fierce defense established by the local team. He was forceful and expeditious in the defensive tasks, being an impassable wall at all times. With the ball at his feet, he showed his great technical quality at the start, combining long movements with filtered passes. In addition, he made excellent decisions in balancing the risks between filtering balls to the attackers or clearing with forcefulness when necessary. This is Pelayo’s second game with his new team, and both were victories. He was a starter in his team’s 1-0 win against Bergantiños FC, in what was the debut of the magnificent Asturian defender, and now he has achieved another sensational victory, this time against the powerful Levante UD in his second game as a starter. Pelayo Suárez is a great central defender who was formed in the prestigious Mareo youth academy of Real Sporting de Gijón. In that club, he made his debut with the first team before being loaned to gain experience and minutes in SD Logroñés. During his time in Logroño, he had an excellent season, being a key player, which earned him a move to CE Sabadell. In the winter market, Rayo Majadahonda bet on him to reinforce the backline of the Majariego team, where he remained for the last year and a half. A fast, aggressive and brave defender, Pelayo stands out for his great concentration during matches. He has an excellent aerial game and is very effective in duels, in all facets of the game. Despite the fact that his main task is to defend, his great ball control brings a lot of tactical variants to his team.

With this new incorporation, Pontevedra CF ensures a magnificent professional and a great defender, with the firm intention of achieving the desired promotion to the First Federation this season.
