Our ex-football player Peter Bernard Luccin (09/04/1979) has been named the new head coach of the excellent MLS team, FC Dallas. FC Dallasand his debut couldn’t have been better, as they won 2-0 2-0 win over St. Louis City S.C. The announcement of his appointment took place on June 9, and this is a big step for Peter in his coaching career. The outstanding French assistant had been performing assistant coaching duties since 2019, and thanks to his good work and enormous knowledge, he faces this new stage of his career with great enthusiasm. Peter’s coaching career began in 2015, when he took charge of the FC Dallas Academy, where he coached the U-12, U-13 and U-14 categories. He has gone through all the formative stages until reaching the first team, and after nine years at the club, this great opportunity comes to him that he is not going to miss. As a footballer, he had a brilliant career. The former FC Dallas midfielder started his career in professional soccer with AS Cannesfrom 1996 to 1997, after developing in French soccer academies.

The Marseille native also played for FC Girondins de Bordeaux (1997-1998), Olympique de Marseille Olympique de Marseille (1998-2000) and Paris Saint-Germain (2000-2002), making 131 appearances in the French Ligue 1. In 2001, his career took him to Spain, when he was loaned to Spanish club Real Club Celta de Vigo. Celta de Vigo. Peter Luccin made his mark in Spain thanks to his unquestionable talent and played for Celta Vigo (2002-2004), where his performance was outstanding. His good work led him to sign for Atlético de Madrid (2004-2007) and Real Zaragoza (2007-2010), where he was loaned on loan for a year to Racing Santander (2008-2009). He completed a total of 285 games in Spanish soccer, where he proved to be an excellent footballer and a very outstanding player in all his teams.

In 2011, he signed with FC Lausanne-Sport of the Swiss Super League, before moving on to the Major League Soccer to play two seasons with FC Dallas from 2013. Peter Luccin was always a very intelligent midfielder on the field, gifted with excellent technical quality and with great leadership skills. Close, affectionate and very demanding of himself and his teammates, the former Marseille player always acted as a great captain on and off the field. From his position as a midfielder, he always had a privileged knowledge of the game, and it comes as no surprise that this opportunity as head coach of FC Dallas has come to him, as he was already a coach on the field when he was an active player.
