Our outstanding soccer player Sergio Postigo (Madrid, November 4, 1988) has added a new record to his career by entering the Top 10 of players with the most games in the history of the Levante UD. In the match that faced Villarreal B this past Friday, Sergio played his 208th game with the “granota” jersey and entered the history of the 10 players with the most games played with the Levante team. His outstanding career at Levante began in 2016 and, in that first campaign as a Levante player, he achieved promotion to the First Division. It will always be remembered the goal he scored against Real Oviedo that gave the direct promotion and that will remain for history in what was his first season in the Levante UD thus achieving a historic promotion to the First Division after making an extraordinary season and achieving promotion with several days in advance for the end of the course. In this match where they achieved direct promotion, and where an unparalleled party was lived in the Ciudad de Valencia Stadium, Sergio Postigo was the author of the only goal of the match against Real Oviedo. For this and for his brilliant performance and commitment in the following years, Postigo will always be remembered at Levante UD. In the eight seasons that Postigo has been with Levante, five have been in the First Division and the other three in the Second Division, leaving record figures: more than 200 games in the First Division, 75 in the Second Division and 11 games played in the Copa del Rey. A leader and reference point for many both on and off the field, Sergio is an exemplary player who is always willing to help everyone and who has earned enormous affection and respect from everyone.
