Brilliant promotion achieved by David Jiménez and Jaime Calleja
Two of our great talents, Jaime Calleja Sánchez (02/01/2003) y David Jiménez Corredor (14/03/2004), achieved last weekend the direct promotion to the Second Federationwith only 3 games left to the end of the season.
Both players from Real Madrid C have completed an outstanding season and have been key players in achieving promotion.
David Jiménez is a very complete right back or winger. Fast and aggressive in defensive duels, he is a difficult defender to pass. He is very fast in both short and long distances and is always very focused, which makes it very difficult to beat him in any situation.
Thanks to an enviable physical condition, he joins the attack with great projection and always generates a lot of danger in his incursions into the opponent’s field, as he has a great ball striking that makes him very dangerous in all his crosses to the area. Accustomed to be very dominant during the matches, he dominates perfectly the positional game and is very precise in his combinations.
With 30 games played, 28 as a starter and 1 goal scored so far, he has had an outstanding season.
Jaime Calleja is the great captain of his team. He has been with Real Madrid for 13 seasons and is the true leader of the Madrid backline.
He is a central defender of great hierarchy. Aggressive and fast in the duels and with great quality in the short game and in his striking, we are in front of a very complete player. He is a very intelligent player who always anticipates what is going to happen in the match and has a great leadership capacity. His great hierarchy on the field leads him to command his teammates constantly and his season has been frankly spectacular.
Outstanding in his defensive actions, both in duels and anticipating, as well as in the air, he is a very safe defender. He complements his great defensive talent with a great ball out from the back. He has a lot of quality in his feet and is very good at filtering balls from the defensive zone. He also has a great ball striking that makes him very precise in all his movements.
With 26 games played to date and all of them as a starter, they give value to this great talent.
