Unai Elgezabal is a first class player
Our extraordinary Levante UD player, Unai Elgezabal Udondo (25/04/1993), achieved promotion to the First Division yesterday afternoon by beating Burgos CF 2-3.
In a thrilling match, everything was decided in the final moments. With five minutes left in the game, the granota team was down 2-1.
In the 85th minute they managed to tie the game and, in the 96th minute, they scored the goal that gave the victory and certified a spectacular promotion.
Carlos Álvarez picked up the ball outside the area, got rid of his marker and scored from just outside the box.
Levante UD’s tremendous merit, which with this spectacular victory seals their promotion to the First Division with one game left in the league championship.

Used to playing as a midfielder at many stages of his career, Unai also has a good ball delivery and a very good long movement.
At the age of 32, he achieved promotion to the First Division at the best moment of his career, after playing 230 games in the Second Division and becoming, on his own merit and indisputably, one of the best central defenders of the entire championship.
