Our player Unai Elgezábal has signed with Levante UD until June 2025 with an option of one more season. Unai Elgezábal (25/04/1993) arrives free coming from Real Burgos where he has played the last four seasons being one of the key players in each of them and it was precisely in the Burgos club where he coincided with the current coach of Levante, Julian Calero, achieving in the 2021 season the promotion to the Second Division. Elgezábal stands out for being a very solid player in defense, very winning as usual in all aerial duels and combines the short game with his good displacement in long. These were Unai’s first words about his upcoming incorporation to the Granota team; “The first thing I want is to adapt as quickly as possible to the club, to the city, and then start working fully because I come with my batteries charged and with great enthusiasm to face this important challenge that is to play in Levante”. Unai acknowledged that “being part of the Granota team is special because it is a club with a spectacular history and my goal is for the club to grow and for me to grow with it, with ambition and with my feet on the ground”. With almost 200 games played in the Second Division, Elgezábal has a great experience on the pitch, which together with his excellent quality as a footballer have been key pieces to sign for the Levante team, where under the orders of Calero he will fight again for promotion, this time to the First Division.
