Unai Elgezabal, deserved renewal after a brilliant year
This July good news keeps coming to Mesas Sport. On this occasion, we are pleased to announce the renewal of our fantastic footballer Unai Elgezabal Udondo (25/04/1993) with the Levante UD until 2027.
The brilliant Basque defender has been rewarded for his outstanding season and has extended his commitment to the club for the next two seasons.
Key player in the promotion to the First Division
Unai has been a key player in the achievement of Levante UD’s promotion to LaLiga EA Sports. He has played a total of 41 games, all of them as a starter, showing an extraordinary performance.
It is no coincidence that he was included in the Hypermotion League‘s ideal 11, a recognition that reflects his great impact throughout the season.
Leadership, hierarchy and defensive solidity
A central defender of great hierarchy, Unai is a player who leads by example. Wherever he has been, he has left his mark. He has always been indispensable for his coaches and has earned every minute on the pitch with professionalism and dedication.
Captain in many of his teams, he dominates all facets of the game:
– Strong and aggressive in duels.
– Practically unbeatable in the air.
– Safe and sober in defense.
– Accurate in passing, both short and long.
For much of his career, he has alternated the position of central defender with that of midfielder, which has endowed him with remarkable technical ability and vision.
Sobriety, concentration and reliability
If anything defines Unai Elgezabal, it is his sobriety. Always focused, he hardly ever loses a duel and transmits great defensive security. Making mistakes is not part of his style.
